{Safe House ~ 4}
``Gina: Zibo. ``Leila: Zibo, did you sleep? ``Gina: So, so. Your days are very short! ``[Morse transmission in - Scotty] ``Wendy: !!On course, one sun. I will reply [Morse transmission out ] Confirmed. ``Leila: Blimey, Scotty is on the ball. ``Wendy: He is obviously a bit worried. I will send him another Morse [Morse transmission out] !!So far so good. ``Leila: That means pick up tomorrow night. ``Gina Agreed. ``Wendy: Confirmed. We can ask Ted over later. Are you hungry and what would you like to eat? ``Gina: Can I try some of these? ``Wendy: Cornflakes, yes. Milk hot or cold? ``Gina: Hot. ``Leila: I will have some shredded wheat please. ``Wendy: Can you go do a security check? ``Leila: Sure. --- ``Wendy: Breakfast everyone. --- I will ring Ted! ``Ted: [Ring, ring] Morning. ``Wendy: How are you? ``Ted: Shell-shocked and amazed. ``Wendy: But other than that you are okay? ``Ted: I have seen some sights in the war, but this is nothing in comparison. ``Wendy: So you approve? ``Ted: Oh yea, because it is in peace, and not in war. ``Wendy: So would you like to come over? ``Ted: Give me, two hours? ``Wendy: Sure, bye. ``Ted: Bye.

[2 hours later]
``Wendy: Hi Ted, come on in and please sit down over here, as we cannot afford any contact of unknown consequences at this stage. ``Ted: Zenden. ``Gina: Zenden. ``Leila: Well done Ted, but I am sure you can do better than that? ``Ted: Give me time, because this is the first time I have engaged with a real friendly alien, because there are many evil aliens left over from the last war I fought in. ``Gina: We have not had wars for over 480 years --- ``Leila: Hang on! --- That is 691 Earth years. ``Ted: I am sure for us, there is a lesson to be learnt from all this! ``Wendy: Are you staying for lunch? ``Ted: Sure, but something light please. ``Wendy: A fry up? ``Ted: Yea. ``Leila: This will be interesting for Gina! ``Wendy: No smoke without fire! ``Leila: Ted is a big eater, not like us, although we will be cooking healthy food. He gets nagged by his family. ``Gina: Your meals are big, and I do not eat it all. ``Ted: We were wrongly brought up in the army, “to march on our stomachs” so it is very hard to get out of the old ways and habits.

[Lunch time]
``Leila: The Saucer has been booked for tomorrow night, so can you make it here please? ``Ted: Yea, what time? ``Wendy: 23H30. ``Ted It will be worth staying up. ``Leila: I am pleased to hear that. ``Ted: So when are you coming back again? ``Wendy: We don’t know as yet, but 3 weeks seems to be the favourite.

``Leila: What you can do; is to send a S.O.S. message once a week, and you should receive an automatic S.O.S. back about two hours later, which is ‘teddy bear’ for all-clear. ``Ted: That sounds easy enough. ``Wendy: Simple as ABC. ``Leila: You are getting more like your Scotty! ``Wendy: Oh, dear, I can’t have that! ``Leila: Do you agree? ``Gina: Zaa. ``Ted: leave me out of it. I would not understand. ``Leila: It is just an in-joke. ``Ted: Anyway I have to go after lunch. So, I will see you tomorrow evening. ``Gina: Zimo.

``Wendy: As soon as it gets dark, we could take you for a longer drive as it is Sunday, into the big town. ``Gina: That will be good. ``Wendy: You have seen some bits on the TV so we can go and have a quick look around and come back. However, if there is a traffic jam, I will turn around regardless and get out quick.

``Gina: Your vehicles are very polluting and very noisy. ``Leila: It is only just beginning for the changes to take place, which are needed, but it will take at least another century for us to complete. It is 2013 here on the Earth, and we think it must be at least the equivalent to year 2335 in your world. ``Wendy: We can talk more about this when we get back, but you have had a good preview of what our Earth is like, I hope? ``Gina: Zaa. It is certainly different to our other worlds, which I have visited.
